When Mandarina Duck was founded in Bologna, Italy in 1977 they immediately turned heads in the traditional leather market with their innovative and original designs.
Founder Paolo Trento introduced the use of plastic fabric as a qualitative material for bags and luggage. It was found to be a revolution in Italy. With his brother-in-law, Pietro Mannato, Paolo thought of ‘Mandarina Duck’ and introduced the use of a rucksack as a handbag. Many original designs would follow.
The mandarine duck of ‘Mandarine Duck’ is a symbol for happiness. Its feathers have many colours and are water-resistant. The Italians have welcomed the little duck heartily, and the brand has been loved worldwide ever since.
Rivet has an exclusive Mandarina Duck corner. Here you find a selection of Mandarina Duck travel cases, handbags, working bags and small leather items. The collection is often expanded with new models and colours, made in plastic, leather or a combination of these two.
The items are designed with creativity, but without losing functionality.
